Welcome

Do you remember when you were able to go to a convention and find everything Star Trek related that you wanted and more? The days when your imagination and creativity in all things Star Trek would fuel the fire and passion inside of you? Are you one that thinks that Star Trek is just a commercial enterprise that has run its course?

I don't think so, and neither should you. Star Trek is more than that, it's a phenomenon that has had a far reaching effect on the way we live our lives and see the things around us. It has had an influence on our hopes and dreams for the future, a better future, and affected the development of all kinds of technology. It has even made an impact on the space program from the naming of a space shuttle to new exploration technology.

I would like to think that there are still many people out there throughout the world who are still fans of that phenomenon, and that all we need to do is to find a way to rekindle that fire and pasion and to make the Star Trek experience fun to be part of.

In the beginning, a small group of people in Texas began an organization that became STARFLEET. They envisioned an organization of fun and comaraderie. A place where people who shared the love of those things and who had dreams of a better tomorrow could expand their horizons and share those things with each other, and a place where they could focus themselves to stimulate fun and creativity and even for the communities that they reside in.

Somehow we've strayed away from this, but I feel that it's time for us to get back to working arm in arm with the members of STARFLEET to rekindle our passion for Star Trek. It's time for us to tap into the imaginations of our Regions and to build an atmosphere of creativity and fun. Together we can make a difference, together we can bring STARFLEET to a level of greatness that we can only reach together.

Respectfully,

Dave Blaser
